There had been reformers but they always failed. That's because Mohammed himself was a terrorist. So ISIS is only following his example.

If you ask the reformers they get pretty lit up about the MSM ignoring them. Now ask yourself why would the MSM ignore them?

Maybe. Because these reformers don’t have much following among Muslims. Thus they are not important enough to report on.

If the MSM covers them, they will have implicitly admitted that maybe there is something wrong with Islam.

Islam will only be reformed when the Muslim world stops making so much money from oil.

I don't know Milo I suspect many will convert to something else and the rest will use the Taliban model

Islam was not reformed before they discovered oil in the Arabian sands. I am not sure that it can be reformed. Certainly, Ali Sina did not think so. The reason is because its Founder was a terrorist. It is hard to repudiate the Founder of any faith and still expect the faith to survive.

I know it's a common thing for pro-Western conservatives to claim that the hard line Islamist view common today is the only view that has ever been popular within Islamic societies, but that's simply not the case.

The generation that followed the end of the colonial period was more westernized. But after a few generations, they reverted back to their original Islam. Jinnah, first President of independent Pakistan, drank like a fish. Tengku Abdul Rahman, the first PM of Malaysia loved to gamble and allowed Malaysia to open a casino at Genting. But the country is also reverting backwards. Turkey had Ataturk who was secular. He abolished polygamy. But now you got Erdogan.

True Islam is what was practised by Mohammed, Islam's founder. He forbade the drinking of alcohol, had many wives and preached jihad. The moderation of earlier generations was influenced by western colonialization which brought in good (equality of women) and bad cultural traits (the Malaysian casino).
