Re: Things are getting tough in China too.

Could someone please explain to me: If the PRC economy is in such parlous shape as you guys believe, then why are my country's exports to it still growing? https://tradingeconomics.com/australia/exports-to-china (June 2019 latest figures) they are currently the highest ever and still apparently on t...

Re: Things are getting tough in China too.

I understood about your point on Sparta Cass. I also know that modern democracy, which bears liittle resemblance to the shambolic, short lived democracy of Athens ,is a very recent historical development. Yep, it is not endowed with any guarantee that it would win a war against an authorization powe...

Re: The End of US Hegemony in Western Pacific

What about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANZUS I know you don’t like trump or the US but what reckless policies are you talking about? I see the trade war as a thinly disguised non shooting ear to weaken China. It’s grab ...

Re: things in the Central powers were more subtle than that Cass.

So a constitutional monarchy defeated a democracy. So democracy does not win every time. I think that...

Re: Europe and Russia

Macron Putin COLLUSION !!! Indeed, and we do need to open an enquiry into how Putin helped Macron's election, and what kompromat he may have on him to force his collaboration. Did Macron ever call prostitutes to his hotel room in Moscow ? Was any urination involved? So many thrilling possibilities ...

Re: Europe and Russia

I can see how Europe teaming up with Russia might resolve some thorny political problems abroad (e.g. Iran; Syria) but if you think that Russia is going to bring your European economy out of the doldrums then you are living in la-la land. A partnership with Russia might not bring "European economy ...

As I said though, once Trump is gone, the US will never get a leader who will go against Islam,....
Why do you think so Milo?

Re: Things are getting tough in China too.

In the lead up to WWII, there were a lot of people who thought that tyranny could outperform democracy. WWII showed the world that wasn't true... for a while! It was (and still is) unfortunate that the destinies of "democracy" and of capitalism were/are tied so closely together. The utter catastrop...

Re: Israel

So, Israelis should consider themselves "lucky" to be surrounded by primitive knuckle-dragging barbarians . . . Why not? It seems to have been that which deterred them from degenerating politically into primitive knuckle-dragging barbarians . Have you never heard of a blessing in disguise ? :? :ide...
